“My I have this dance?” I ask.
“I can’t believe this night Derrick, it’s our song.”
“It sure is angel. Come on let’s dance to it.”
I walk her over to the small dance floor area and swing her around in my arms. As we dance to our song, Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, I envision what it will be like to dance with her to this song on our wedding day. I pull her in closer to me so that I can feel her heart beating against mine. This day has been absolutely perfect and there’s just one more thing I need to do. I pull away from her just enough so that I can look into her eyes again.
“You are so beautiful to me Chloe.” I tell her and kiss her lips ever so softly.
“I love you so much Derrick. No matter what we’ve been through we always make it work. You make us work. I love you.”
She kisses me back but instead of a soft kiss she kisses me fiercely. I feel tears coming down our cheeks and I pull away.
“Don’t cry angel. This is all for you. Everything I do is for you so that our future is perfect. Come on we have one last surprise for the night.”

Overweight and dull. That’s how I felt.

My grandfather and brother died. I hid inside a black cave deep in my soul,

numbed for a decade on meds, booze, and bad love, married to my glorious

My name is Liz Snow, from Atlanta, Georgia, and this is my story.

One hot summer I fell hopelessly in love with successful attorney, Peter William

Hendrix III, from Chattanooga, Tennessee. We bonded because of Shelley and

Keats. Pete introduced me to the works of modern English poet, Jack O. Savage,

It was like The Poet was drawing us together through his blogs and poems, like

he had a message for my life and my love with Pete Hendrix.

I lived it in my heart and soul.

It all went tragically wrong once I learned Pete’s secret.

As September ends I jet to London, England with an unstable mind and a broken

heart. Pete Hendrix betrayed me big time. There was no time for revenge. My life

was a kaleidoscope of stabbing shards of pain.

London ignored me. Maybe I didn't exist. I was lost and lonely in a flat in

I hear that Jack O. Savage will make a rare public appearance. I wrangle an

invitation to the art gallery where he is reading. I was curious. Somehow, he was

the cause of my trouble.

The rock-star-with-words was even more damaged than I.

Jack O.Savage, The Poet became my friend.

Then, an unexpected kiss at a county fair on a perfect English summer's day

changed everything forever. Jack the man became my lover.

My elusive dream of a lifelong love began.

If Pete was what I'd always wanted, Jack was what I always needed.

The mystery unraveled as the kaleidoscope of my broken life evolved and I found

myself living a rainbow of perfect bliss.

Sometimes when you believe it’s the end, it’s only the beginning.

September Ends is a contemporary romance with erotic and supernatural

elements bound together by poetry. It reveals the intricate web of passion and

desire which entangles Liz Snow, Pete Hendrix and Jack O. Savage. The story

is told through Liz Snow’s diary, Jack O. Savage’s poetry, and from letters

sent across the Atlantic. Traveling throughout the lushness of a summertime

in Tennessee and Georgia, September Ends journeys into the elegance of

London’s West End and is finally settled in the countryside of Cornwall, England,

a decade later.

September Ends is a story of sin, redemption and salvation through love

because love happens when we least expect it.

Fire and Ice Book Tours Presents........ Grace Lost by M. Lauryl Lewis #Zombie #Horror Book Tour 9/11 - 9/25

Title:  Grace Lost (The Grace Series, #1)
Author:  M. Lauryl Lewis

Genres:  Horror (Zombie), Dark Fantasy, Erotic Romance, Post  Apocalyptic

Tour Host:  Fire and Ice Book Tours

Young and na├»ve, Zoe Kate finds herself thrust into harm’s way when the dead rise overnight.  Armed with

very little, she and her lifelong friend, Adam Boggs, flee their small hometown in search of safety.  Joined by

two other survivors, they will face unimaginable horrors and suffer unthinkable losses as the rules of nature

are rewritten.  Love will blossom and lives will be lost.

Gus and Boggs walked toward the shabby looking trailer.  Boggs held the Kahr in his right hand, at his side.

Gus kept his shotgun strapped over his left shoulder.  I climbed between the front seats to take my position

behind the wheel and watched as they approached the front door of the trailer.  Boggs stopped several feet

shy of the door while Gus waked to it and rapped with his knuckles.  Several minutes passed before Gus

looked back to Boggs and signaled him to move behind him.  The rain was pouring heavily now and the wind

was blowing hard.  I saw Gus put his ear to the door and listen for several seconds.  When he seemed

satisfied, he turned to Boggs and gave him an exaggerated shrug.  They spoke briefly, their words too far

away for me to hear.  The windshield was becoming a blur of water and plant debris from the storm, so I

turned the wipers on low in an attempt to keep my companions in sight.

Boggs stepped back a few more feet, centered himself in front of the door, and raised his weapon.  Gus

turned the knob slowly, cracked the door, and stood back as it swung inward.  He scrambled back to join

Boggs and readied his shotgun.  It took all of my willpower to stay in my seat when all I wanted to do was

get out and yell for them to get back in the car.  I watched them both retch and cover their mouths as they

stepped farther from the open doorway.  Moments later the smell hit me through the open car window.  I

tired of being offended by the smell of rot and decay.  I got out of the Explorer, the engine still idling, and

stood behind the open door.

The creature that emerged from the doorway was different than what we'd seen so far.  The old man was

skeletal, his skin mummified.  Long yellow hair fell from his scalp, which was falling away from his skull.  His

lips were drawn back making his browned teeth occupy more of his face than they should.  His eyes had

long ago shriveled, leaving dark holes in their place.  He stumbled forward, following the living by some

unknown sense of desperation that must have substituted for sight.  Gus didn't hesitate.  He raised his

shotgun and felled his uncle with a single shot.  The decayed old man was thrown backward, his head now

unrecognizable from the spray of pellets.  He lay on the rain-soaked ground, his skeletal right arm halfway

submerged in a deep mud puddle.  Gus lowered his shotgun and looked to the car, then to Boggs.  "That

was Chuck.  Looks like he's been gone a long time.""

Boggs was still aiming his .45 at the trailer.  "Sounds like he wasn't alone.""

"Boggs?" I called.  "What is it?""

Without taking his eyes off the trailer, he called back to me.  "I hear one of them in there, Zo.  Stay back!

And for Christ's sake get back in the car!"

Gus walked back over to Boggs and readied his shotgun.  He held a hand up, signaling me to stay put.  I

shivered as the cold rain soaked through my summer outfit.  I wiped at my face with the back of my hand,

wishing that I also had a gun.  The three of us stood watching the open door, waiting for horror to emerge.

I saw Gus nod to Boggs, and watched as my friend stepped into the dark trailer, his Kahr outstretched in

anticipation of an attack.  Gus entered behind him, his shotgun at the ready.

I waited for what seemed an eternity, not knowing if I'd ever see Boggs or our new companion again.  The

thought of being alone was almost as unbearable as falling victim to one of these unthinkably evil creatures.

The noise of the storm became distant and was replaced by that of my own breathing and heartbeat.  Time

seemed suspended until the sound of a shot rang in the distance.  I knew by the sound it was the handgun.

"Boggs!" I screamed.  "Boggs!"  I was crying now, running toward the door of the trailer.  I entered the

darkness blinding me momentarily.  Suddenly muscular arms were around me and I fought back hard,

hitting and kicking.  "Boggs!"  I yelled, now pleading for help.

"I've got her!" called out a voice that I recognized only faintly.  The arms tightened around me and my body

fought harder, my foot landing on a shin followed by cursing.

"Boggs!"  My voice was now shaking from fear.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, M. Lauryl now lives in Washington State with her husband and

their sons.  An avid camper, she loves spending her summers outdoors.  A fan of horror since an unusually

young age, her favorite creature of the night is the zombie.

WOW!!!!  This about sums it up.  I was enthralled by this book from the beginning to the end!!!!

This book covers a vast array of subjects and emotions and they ALL come together in ways that the reader NEVER sees coming.  The plots keep shifting and just when you think you understand what/why everything has happened..................BOOM!!!  SURPRISE!!!!!  (Natalie had me biting my lower lip and moaning quite often!!!!)   KUDOS.

The bond between Olivia Stevens and Jamie Matthews is one that many of us wish we had or experienced in our life.  (Wait......I have to lower my arm.)  The teacher/student attraction is brought to so many different levels in this book.  Most will leave you smiling, some will have you moaning, (actually SEVERAL will.)

There is also a few sensitive topics thrown in and believe me when I say that THESE topics are needed in this book.  It makes the story much more intense!!!!

The ending of the book left me gasping from shock!!!!!!!!!!   (I believe I smell a 2nd installment in the works!!!!)

I loved it and wouldn't have minded if this book went on for several more chapters.  It had me on the edge and I so crave more.

My Wolf Protector by Rose Wynters - Book Tour, Giveaway, and Review 9/21 @AUTHOR_ROSE

Title:  My Wolf Protector (Wolf Town Guardians, #2)
Author:  Rose Wynters

Genre:  Genres: Erotic Romance, Paranormal Romance, Werewolf Romance, and BBW Romance

Release Day:  September 3, 2013

Tour Host:  Fire and Ice Book Tours

*This book contains explicit language and extremely sensual adult scenes.*

Series: Wolf Town Guardians - Born to walk this world as both wolf and human, these men take

their role as protectors very seriously. Enjoying sensual pleasures as they please, this group of alpha

werewolves are the finest when it comes to protecting their hidden settlement.

Guardians are the masters of self-control, taking pride in their authority and hard, muscled bodies. That

all changes at the first scent of their mates. Their control snaps. The mating heat begins.

This is their stories.

Book Two, My Wolf Protector

Resigned to never knowing the truth about his mate's disappearance, Marrok Walker is a guardian

with nothing left to lose. Late one night, his entire world is turned upside down when two battered

werewolves stumble into Wolf Town. They have escaped from a hidden research facility in New

Mexico, only moments away from death. Before losing consciousness, one of them makes a shocking

revelation. Marrok discovers his mate is still alive... And desperate to be rescued.

Taylor Moore was just your average, virgin accountant, until a series of horrific events altered her

life. Plus-sized and loaded down with responsibilities, she lets her best friend talk her into trouble.

At the very last moment, she's rescued by a tall, dangerous male riding a motorcycle. It's the start of

something wonderful... Until she's abducted from him and taken to Hell's Pit.

Thrown into a nightmarish world beneath a mesa, she has held onto the memory of the one night she

spent with the handsome, Apache man. When the opportunity comes to help two werewolves escape,

she assists them, asking only one thing in return. Find the werewolf named Marrok.

Now that he knows his mate is alive, Marrok won't let anything stand in the way of reclaiming her.

Planning a daring rescue, the guardians free the prisoners, but can he free Taylor from the ties that bind

His mate is no longer the same woman he knew, but the mating heat doesn't care. It explodes, burning

them both up alive. Taylor can't resist the hot, alpha werewolf, but Marrok is known for his rigid selfcontrol. Her past is coming back to haunt her.... Will she be able to seduce the wild and savage man

before it does?

The wind blew through his hair, bringing in more of the captivating scent. He inhaled

deeply, his body humming with excitement. It was a combination of jasmine and musk,

purely female. It was delicious, unlike anything he'd ever smelled before. His eyes

glowed red behind his dark lenses. Who was this mysterious female affecting him so deeply?

The answer slammed into him, his body stiffening in a mixture of shock and

overwhelming lust. His massive hands tightened on the handlebars, nearly crushing

them with his strength. It was undeniable. The wolf inside of him had lived for this very

moment, and there was no force on earth strong enough to keep him away. Nothing

existed or mattered beyond the burning need pulsating through his body. He had scented

his mate, and he was determined to claim her.

I'm many things including a paranormal romance author, traveler, adventurer, and adorer of extremely

hot, alpha men!

I'm also a hopeless romantic that enjoys excitement, fun, and the mysteries of life. I have a great love

of romance and the supernatural, and I love combining them into romance books that push every

boundary in the literary world. After all, shouldn't romance be thrilling, decadent, and especially

Cover Reveal: Lethal Journey by Kim Cresswell 9/20 @kimcresswell

Lethal Journey
A Short Novel Thriller

Genre: Romance Thriller
Author: Kim Cresswell
Tour Host: Lady Amber’s Tours

Release Date: September 30th 2013
A killer lurks in the shadows of Hyde Park, New York…waiting.
Manhattan District Attorney, Lauren Taylor, is about to take on the most important case of her career, prosecuting Gino Valdina, acting mob boss of New York’s most influential crime syndicate.
For three decades, Gino Valdina has led New York’s Valdina crime family. Since his recent indictment for murder, the leadership of the family is in turmoil, appalled by the death of one of their own, Gino’s wife, Madelina. Without the support of the family behind him, Valdina will do anything to save himself.
But Lauren soon discovers, things aren’t always as they seem when she’s tossed into a mystery, a deadly conspiracy that reaches far beyond the criminal underworld and a journey into the past makes her a target…and anyone she’s ever loved.

Eric slowed the Mustang to a crawl and searched the street for his informant, Jimmy Flame. This part of Brooklyn had it all―garbage, graffiti and gangs―a snake pit where debts were paid in blood. As it turned out, he spotted the lanky twenty-something-drug-dealer strolling up the sidewalk.
Eric didn’t trust the scar-faced kid dressed in clothes three sizes too big, but Jimmy knew the streets and somehow stayed clear of the gangs. A real miracle. He also knew Jimmy would be discreet, if he knew what was good for him.
Eric pulled the car over and stopped. Jimmy looked him square in the eye, turned, and kept walking.
Eric got out of the car and snatched the back of Jimmy’s shirt. “We need to talk.” He whirled him around.
“Hey, you promised you’d only come around at night.” Jimmy scanned up and down the street clearly worried someone might see him with a cop.
“It’s important. Get in.”
Jimmy hopped in the car and scrunched down low in the passenger seat.
Eric started the car and glanced at Jimmy’s low riding jeans. “How the hell can you wear those baggy-ass pants? They should be outlawed.”
“What man? You don’t like my gear? These pants are sick.” Jimmy ran his hand over his knee. “What’s so important?”
“Heard anything about prosecutor Stephen Taylor or the new district attorney?” Jimmy kept one hand clutched on the door handle.
Convinced the kid might bolt if he had the chance, Eric sped up.
“I ain’t heard nothing on the DA, but―”
“If you know something, spit it out. I’m not in the mood for games.” Eric glanced at him,
Jimmy’s shaved head glistened with sweat in the early morning sun.
“Man you’re gonna get me killed.” Jimmy sank back into the seat, his fingers tightened around the handle of the door. “Some dude was looking for someone to put the scare into Taylor and the DA. I never saw him, but one of my boys told the guy to hit the road. The deal didn’t smell right. Something was way off.”
“How did Paul Cassico end up dead?”
Jimmy lit a cigarette and took an extra-long drag. “Cassico is a small-time bookie, you know, neighborhood shit, horse races and fights. Valdina learned the guy would be cooperating with the feds so Valdina had one of his crew take him out.”
“Did Cassico ever mention who killed my father?”
“The stupid shit went around flappin’ his gums. Said he knew who shot the cop in the warehouse drug deal. He also said he’d make a large stash when he went to the cops.”
Eric’s heart pounded. “Did he give a name, Jimmy?”
“I need to find the shooter.”
“I don’t wanna get involved with Valdina’s boys. You’re talking Mafia. Man, I’m too young to die.”
Eric could tell by the quiver in the kid’s voice, he was scared. Something he’d never seen before. “Has someone threatened you?”
“Not yet. They will as soon as I start asking questions.”
“You’re smart. You’ll find a way to get the info.” Besides, you piss me off, I’ll drag your drug-pedalling ass off to jail. You understand?”
Jimmy remained silent for a moment. “Man, you’re a hard-ass.”
“Find out what you can.” Eric steered the car into an empty parking lot and tossed fifty bucks at him. “I’ll be back in a couple of days and watch your back.”

As Eric pulled away, he heard Jimmy call him an asshole. Okay, he deserved that. And yeah, he was tough on the kid when he needed to be. It was all part of the job. He liked Jimmy, but he’d never admit it. From what he just witnessed, Jimmy was scared shitless and that worried Eric even more.

Everyone has heard of the French and Indian War and the American Revolution.

However, they have not heard about them this way! The American founding

a lot of patience. How is Samuel Prescott supposed to hunt the leader of the

Forbes Zombie was fast. A hell of a lot faster than Forbes was in real life.

How the heck did that work out, Boone wondered. Oh well. He unslung his

double-barreled reverse musket, an invention of Revere;  the guy was good

for something, thought Boone as he fired and turned his former commanding

officer’s head into a floating cloud of red mist. He then flipped the release on his

musket, spun the barrels so that the fired barrel faced back and the loaded faced

forward, and he vaporized the downed soldier’s head as well just to be sure. He

wasn’t about to let any zombies rise on his watch.

“Everybody to the wall,” Fraser ordered. It seemed that Boone’s gunfire and

the shrieking had alerted the remaining werewolves, who were apparently done

feasting on the French and wanted to upgrade to a little English breakfast.

“Zombies and werewolves,” whined Revere. “I sure hope no vampires show

“Vampires?” Boone countered. “What are you, a child? Vampires aren’t real.”

“They’re not?” asked Revere.

“No - vampires are just a myth. But dragons, dragons will fuck your shit up,”

said George Washington.

scintillating conversation and trips to faraway places--all while never leaving her bed.

Still, after years of abuse and abandonment, and with no rosy future to look forward to,

she's not about to give up on her plan to kill herself just because he asks.

After breaking the rules one too many times, Sean is cut off from all contact with

Isabelle, but not before providing her with a reason to live. Now, she'll choose the path

her future takes and confront her greatest fear. Alone.

Unless Sean can find a way to fight for her from the other side...

I kill houseplants. There. Now you know one of my greatest shames. I'm not boasting. I just figure that if you're reading this, you're looking for more than how wonderful life is as a writer. So here are a few more of my flaws:

I sing all the time. I sing in the car. In the shower. While I'm grocery shopping. And I headbop while I sing. When I'm not singing, I talk to myself. Just ignore me and move on. You get used to it after a while.
I don't eat my vegetables. Seriously. I'd rather have a cookie.
I'm extremely fair-skinned and could burn under a 60-watt light bulb.
I can't sleep without background noise. If it's too dark and too quiet, all I have are my thoughts. And even *I* don't want to be alone with my thoughts.
Don't ask me to Zumba, line dance, or march in the parade. I have absolutely no rhythm.
Regrets. I have more than a few.
My favorite activity is sleep. I don't clock a lot of hours, but I powernap like a Persian cat and rejuvenate within ten minutes.
I consider shopping and dining out excellent therapy for anything wrong in my life.
My feet are always cold. Always. My husband claims it's because I'm an alien sent to Earth to destroy him. (He might be right about that.)
Coming to my house for a visit? Unless you've given me plenty of advance notice, be prepared. My floor will not be vacuumed, there will be dishes in my sink, and I only make my bed when I change the sheets once a week (I'm climbing back into it ASAP. Why make it?) Housecleaning is not high on my priority list. Okay, to be totally honest, it's not on the list at all.
I can resist anything...except ice cream.
Since this is our first date, I figure I've revealed enough secrets for now. But if you've read this bio and think I might be the author for you, pick up one of my books or stalk my website(s):

One weekend - no strings, no expectations, and no commitments.  On Sunday afternoon it all ends, or does it?

No-nonsense businessman, Spencer Cannon has a dilemma.  He's headed to Connecticut for the weekend to attend his cousin's elaborate wedding.  His whole family will be there in addition to his obsessed ex-girlfriend Ava.  According to Spencer's brother, Ava has been telling her friends she's planning a magical reunion with her favorite ex-boyfriend.  Spencer's not in the mood to deal with her, but he can't miss the wedding.  He needs a plan.

Struggling Brooklyn waitress and aspiring graphic designer, Dakota Vercelli has fallen on hard times. College debts, pending eviction, and her sick mother are taking a toll on her.  A chance encounter with Mr. Cannon of Cannon and Carrington Advertising, leads to a proposition that may be just the thing to solve both of their problems.

Spencer's offer - spend four days with him during the wedding festivities and keep his ex off his trail.  In return, he'll compensate her generously for her time.  He needs a weekend girlfriend, and Dakota needs the cash.

It was just supposed to be a business deal, but after sharing a room, kissing under the stars, and attending a wedding, their attraction is undeniable.  Will the illusion end when the weekend is over or is the proposition just the beginning?

"I have a proposition for you."

A proposition?"  What could he possible have to offer her?

"I have to attend my cousin's wedding this weekend.  Actually, I have to leave tomorrow afternoon.  I don't want to go alone for reasons I don't wish to discuss right now.  I need someone to accompany me.  I'm offering that to you."

"And you think I'm 'to the point' ?"  He smiled but didn't say anything.  She couldn't stand the silence.  She wanted

He smiled but didn't say anything.  She couldn't stand the silence.  She wanted to figure out his game.  There had to be some sort of catch.  "You want me to go to a wedding with you?"

"It's in Connecticut.  I would require your services until Sunday afternoon.  All of your expenses would be paid, including a wardrobe which would be yours to keep after the weekend."

"You need a date?"

"I would need you to appear as my girlfriend."

"Is this a joke?"

"I wouldn't joke about something like this.  I've thought the entire thing through."

"A man who looks like you should have no problem finding a real girlfriend to buy clothes for and flaunt in front of his family."  She thought for a moment.  "Unless there's something wrong with you."

"There's nothing wrong with me."  He raised his voice a bit.  "I had planned on attending alone but circumstances have changed.  I'm in a bind and from what I gather, you are too."

Her instincts screamed to run in the opposite direction.  She'd never been the type to fall for a scam.  "I'm not interested in-"

"I'll pay you two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for your time."

"What?"  Apparently a side of crazy came with those good looks.

"One hundred and twenty-five thousand today, if you agree."  He pulled out a check from the inside pocket of the jacket he had draped on the back of the chair.  He slipped the mint green paper across the table.  "You'll get the rest on Sunday afternoon."

"That's fifty grand a day."  She studied the check.  It would take her years to make to make that kind of money working these shit-end jobs.

“I’m aware.” He nodded as if the money meant nothing. “I’m asking for your time, a commodity I believe should be well compensated.”

Too good to be true. “Do you make it a habit of paying women to be your girlfriend?”

“Pretend girlfriend,” he reminded her. “You would be the first.”

“Why me?”

"Does it matter?"

"What exactly do you expect me to do for that money?"

"I told you."  He narrowed his eyes.  "I need a date for a long weekend.  Everyone needs to think we're a couple."

"You're willing to pay me to go away with you for four days.  I'm supposed to take your word we're going to a wedding in Connecticut?  How do I know you won't kidnap me and want to do all sorts of kinky stuff to me?  You could be some sex-obsessed lunatic."

"Kinky stuff?"

"Yeah, you know, like bondage and blindfolds."

"Do you like that sort of thing?"  He tried to conceal his smirk.

 I loved it!!
It was just the right uplifting, romantic and coquettish book I    needed to read at moment.

The characters (Spencer and Coda) have a unique charge between them and their two vastly different backgrounds does not become a factor.

I will most definitely be looking forward to reading more of Ella Jade's books
